When Ms. Buddha and I first started travelling back when we first came out of the university, we did what most people never grow out of and found shopping sites to shop till there’s no tomorrow – because back then, getting things cheaper and sales tax return was a great thing; but in recent years – we’ve gotten to a point where we don’t even buy anything anymore but instead we focus our visits that are unique to the location. One of those during our Seoul trip was Ihwa Mural Village.

Just a slight warning, the walk up to the village is actually quite steep, so be prepared, we went when it was cold – so at least we didn’t sweat like a pig on the way up. The area itself started as part of the Government’s Ihwa-dong Naksan Project which commissioned 70 artists to add a bit of beauty to the area. Since the inception – there has been a lot of Korean dramas that have used it as a location. Unfortunately, that also meant that the area’s residents have seen an influx of disruptions by tourists (like myself – sorry!) – but for those who don’t manage to get here – enjoy Ms. & Mr. Buddha’s hightlights!
