One of the things that I do enjoy when having the luck to fly Business Class is exploring different lounges, especially when they are as good as the Cathay Taipei Taoyuan Lounge which was newly renovated just towards the end of 2015; so needless to say, I was interested to see what the lounge at Fukuoka Airport was like.
When we first arrived at Fukuoka airport, which was a short 15min ride from ANA Crowne Plaza Fukuoka, we were met with a massive queue for check-in as they scanned your check-in luggage before allowing you approach the check-in counter.

We were kind of in a rush and wanted to do some last minute shopping done, so we asked one of the friendly Cathay staff whether there was another queue for Business Class travelers, and she immediately escorted us to the security scanners and allowed us through – we did feel quite bad that we basically jumped the queue…
Once inside and with the shopping done, we went over to the lounge, which had a very simple entrance to the lounge reserved for One World alliance members.

To be honest, the lounge was very basic, although it was kept very clean, there wasn’t much food on offer and got crowded very quickly as our departure time approached. There was a small food area which offered some small snacks and drinks, I didn’t have any because I was a little tired so ended up just hunkering down on one of the comfy seats to enjoy some music.
That said – I think one of the more important points about lounges is cleanliness, which this lounge scores 10/10 for!

Looks like this lounge is much nicer than the Korean Air Lounge in Fukuoka.
