Mandarin Oriental Singapore – Review

It was the first time I stayed at Mandarin Oriental brand and it was for 4 nights straight. I booked MO on my colleague’s recommendation instead of the Intercontinental.

View outside the room

I was given a room on the 7th floor with practically no view, not quite the side facing Marina Bay Sands I had hoped for. It looked into neighbouring buildings so I just kept the curtains drawn the whole stay.

The room was very spacious, however a little dark. They had an oriental theme going but it wasn’t really my taste. I prefer something either more modern or classic but not something in between.
The bathroom was huge, with both a shower and a bath tub. I never got to enjoy the tub, which is what Mr Buddha always does when we travel.
My colleagues told me the swimming pool was worth a visit, but unfortunately as it was a rather busy work trip I couldn’t find time for a little indulgence. Something for next time perhaps!
